We are an Aboriginal AIDS Service Organization (ASO) that has a proven record of innovation, responsiveness, and commitment to all Northern residents. In response to the scope of the HIV epidemic in our community, we continue to provide support to people living with HIV/AIDS/HCV (PHAs), and address the greater need for prevention and education services.
FASD Support - Smithers Community Services Association
In collaboration with other community services and organizations, FASD Services program supports, develops and delivers initiatives that increase awareness around Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), and improve the support available to individuals living with FASD.
This is done through initiatives such as activities of the BV FASD Committee, the development of awareness and preventions campaigns on the impact of alcohol consumption during pregnancy, and the delivery of education/training sessions on the reality of living with FASD and strategies to better support families and individua
The Dze L'Kant Friendship Centre Society is an organization guided by Aboriginal values that provides activities, services and information to all people. This includes developing skills and strengths for spiritual, emotional, mental and physical well being. Our focus is on helping people become self sufficient and self reliant. The Friendship Centre is dedicated to promote awareness amongst all people.
